Purpose or Impact of Role:

This project is focused on developing and creating a monthly email newsletter for United By DNA.

Role Summary:

As a project coordinator, you be part of a team that help develop a monthly email newsletter for United By DNA. You shall participate in full project lifecycle implementation which includes: requirements gathering, project specification, design, implementation and evaluation.


Some of the expected deliverables are:

  • Strategy Document
  • Project Plan and Specification Document 
  • Business / Workflow Process Document
  • Policies, Guidelines,  Operating Procedures, Standards Document
  • Job Roles Identification and Job Descriptions Document
  • Performance Evaluation Document
  • Continuous Process Improvement Strategy Document

Reports to Project Manager

  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis


  • Strategy and Solution Development


  • Projects Plan, Configuration and Specification Development


  • Business / Workflow Process Design, Mapping and Modeling


  • Process Management Systems Development


  • Policies, Guidelines,  Operating Procedures, Standards and Process  Documentation Development


  • Job Roles Identification and Job Descriptions Development


  • Team Members Recruitment, Selection, Training, Mentoring, Management and Performance Review


  • Project Deployment, Management and Evaluation


  • Continuous Process Improvement Strategy Development
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in Editorial / Publishing, Consulting, Business Development, Project Management or Entrepreneurship
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
  • MBA or related advanced degree


  • Mastery of Transactional Lean and Six Sigma tools and Lean concepts


  • PMP certification


  • Strong knowledge of project development life cycle
Bonus (Not Required) Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with non-profits or involvement with activism.


  • Prior experience in a start-up or early stage environment


  • Prior experience working internationally or on projects spanning several countries or prior experience working in a multinational organization


  • Advanced PowerPoint skill


  • Proficiency in MS Project and MS Project Server (or similar applications)


  • SigmaXL and other statistical software knowledge
